De Gravenhof<\/h1>\n

Wer vom unteren Markt in n\u00f6rdliche Richtung geht , kommt zum Gravenhof. Dieser Bauernhof ist 1803 auf dem Fundament eines noch viel \u00e4lteren Hofes erbaut worden.<\/p>\n

Bis zum Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts war er eng mit der Burg De Keverberg verbunden, in der sich die Grafen von Kessel aufhielten. Zwischen der Burg und dem Gravenhof befand sich ein grosser, offener Platz, der Entstehungsort von Kessel.<\/p>\n

Der Bauernhof ist typisch f\u00fcr das Maastal: An der linken Seite liegt das Wohnhaus, in der Mitte der umschlossene Innenhof mit Zugangstor und an der rechten Seite die Scheune. Am De Gravenhof liegt heutzutage ein gem\u00fctlicher Campingpatz mit Wassersportm\u00f6glichkeiten.<\/p>\n
